Use of Experts in Family Law
Palo Alto Family Law Attorney
Quality Team of Experts
Part of the quality services I provide as a certified family law attorney include the ability to provide experts in different areas when necessary for a case. The use of experts is critical when it comes to divorce, child custody, child support, property division, alimony and all other family law issues. There are several experts who can be applied to one case, depending on various circumstances.
At the Law Offices of Rod Firoozye, I can assemble a skilled and qualified team of experts to help your case, but I won’t sacrifice the personal attention you want from a solo practitioner. I have frequently employed some of the nation's best experts in the past and have also served as a family law expert, both in the country and abroad in other cases. Types of Family Law Experts
There are many different types of family law experts and I have access to and have utilized many of them for my clients. They can include:
- CPAs: to assist in a valuation of a business or other property and determination of a particular income available for child support, alimony or other matters.
- Appraisers: whether in real estate or art, appraisers can be used to valuate more difficult and less-common items.
- Forensic experts: some situations may require an expert to determine the authenticity of handwriting between a husband and wife.
- International law experts: provide information regarding laws in other countries that may apply to a case.
- Forensic accountants: especially when there are hidden assets and off-shore accounts that one spouse may be trying to conceal.
- Child custody evaluators: most likely the biggest expert related to child custody matters. These experts help assist in determining the most appropriate schedule for a child and any psychological testing. Findings are submitted to the court.
- Vocational evaluation experts: these professionals are retained to prove to the court that a spouse is under-employed or has the capability of obtaining employment.
