Rod has lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 20 years, attending high school, undergraduate, and law school here.

He is graduate of University of San Francisco, School of Law.

In 1996, Rod established the Law Offices of Rod Firoozye in Palo Alto, CA.

Rod is a Certified Family Law Specialist by the State Bar Of California Board of Legal Specialization (California attorneys who are certified as specialists must have taken and passed a written examination in their specialty field, demonstrated a high level of experience in the specialty field, fulfilled ongoing education requirements, and been favorably evaluated by other attorneys and judges familiar with their work).

Rod has represented clients in various family law matters, including complex property divisions, family business divisions, child custody and visitation issues, child and spousal support modifications, and family law mediations. Rod is a referral attorney for the Palo Alto and Santa Clara Bar Associations and regularly serves as Judge Pro-Tem for the Santa Clara County Family Law Court. Rod regularly handles cases against many Certified Family Law Specialists.

Rod also has substantial litigation experience representing clients in complex Hi-Tech litigation cases against several publicly traded corporations, such as Microsoft and EarthLink (See EarthLink opinion).

Rod emphasizes one-on-one interaction with clients in reaching their desired goals. He puts great emphasis on explaining the technical parts of the process in layman's terms so clients can better understand their options and make informed choices.
